NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE, ENGLAND AND WALES The National Health Service (General Dental Services) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 1992
1.(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (General Dental Services) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 1992 and shall come into force
(2) In these Regulations, "the 1973 Regulations" means the National Health Service (General Dental Services) Regulations 1973[2].
2.(1) The 1973 Regulations shall be amended in accordance with the following paragraphs of this regulation. (2) In regulation 11A (prior approvalpatterns of treatment) in paragraph (6) afterthe words "dated 8th August 1990" there are inserted the words "and amended on 9th January 1992". (3) In Part II of Schedule 1 (terms of servicecontinuing care and capitation arrangements and treatment on referral)
(1B) The items of treatment referred to in sub-paragraph (1A) (c) are
(4) In paragraph 24 of Part IV of Schedule 1 (terms of serviceprior approval of treatment) in sub-paragraph (6) after the words "dated 8th August 1990" there are inserted the words "and amended on 9th January 1992". (5) In Part II of Schedule 1C (prior approval treatment) in paragraph 3(a) after the words "dated 8th August 1990" there are inserted the words "and amended on 9th January 1992".
3. In regulation 2(1) (interpretation) of the National Health Service (Service Committees and Tribunal) Regulations 1974[3] in the definition of "treatment" in head (iv) of sub-paragraph (b) after the words "dated 8th August 1990" there are inserted the words "and amended on 9th January 1992".
4.(1) The amendments made by regulation 2(3) of these Regulations shall apply only in relation to a course of care and treatment commenced on or after 1st February 1992. (2) In paragraph (1) above the expression "care and treatment" shall have the same meaning as in the 1973 Regulations. (3) Until 1st March 1992 the new sub-paragraph (1A) (c) inserted in paragraph 5 of Schedule 1 to the 1973 Regulations by regulation 2(3) (d) of these Regulations shall have effect as if the words "and amended on 9th January 1992" were omitted.
