BETTING, GAMING AND LOTTERIES

The Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 1991

Made 31st October 1991
Laid before Parliament 11th November 1991
Coming into force 2nd December 1991

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 18(1) and 24(2) of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    -

        (1)  This Order may be cited as the Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 2nd December 1991.

        (2)  This Order shall extend to Scotland only.
        2.    The fee payable under paragraph 18 of Schedule 3 to the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976[2] (which relates to permits for the commercial provision of amusements with prizes) shall, instead of £25, be £32.
        3.    The Amusements with Prizes (Variation of Fees) (Scotland) Order 1988[3] is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order, which extends to Scotland only, increases from £25 to £32 the fee payable to a local authority or other appropriate authority on the grant or renewal of a permit for amusements with prizes provided under section 16 of the Lotteries and Amusements Act 1976.
