The Child Minding and Day Care (Applications for Registration and Registration and Inspection Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1991

    The Secretary of State for Health in relation to England and Wales and the Secretary of State for Scotland in relation to Scotland in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 71(16) and 104(4) of and paragraphs 1(1) and (3), 6(4) and 7 of Schedule 9 to the Children Act 1989[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf hereby make the following Regulations:—
    Citation and commencement
        1.    These Regulations may be cited as the Child Minding and Day Care (Applications for Registration and Registration and Inspection Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1991 and shall come into force on 14th October 1991 immediately after the Child Minding and Day Care (Applications for Registration) Regulations 1991[2] and the Child Minding and Day Care (Registration and Inspection Fees) Regulations 1991[3].
    Amendment to the Child Minding and Day Care (Applications for Registration) Regulations 1991
        2.    Regulation 2 of the Child Minding and Day Care (Applications for Registration) Regulations 1991 shall be amended as follows—
       (a) in the definition of "full day care" for the words "a full working day" there shall be substituted the words "a continuous period of four hours or more in any day";
       (b) in the definition of "sessional day care" for the words "a full working day" there shall be substituted the words "a continuous period of four hours in any day".
    Amendment to the Child Minding and Day Care (Registration and Inspection Fees) Regulations 1991
        3.    Regulation 2 of the Child Minding and Day Care (Registration and Inspection Fees) Regulations 1991 shall be amended as follows—
       (a) in the definition of "full day care" for the words "a full working day" there shall be substituted the words "a continuous period of four hours or more in any day";
       (b) in the definition of "sessional day care" for the words "a full working day" there shall be substituted the words "a continuous period of four hours in any day".
