PILOTAGE

The Pilotage Act 1987 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1991

Made 18th April 1991

    The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 33(2) of the Pilotage Act 1987[1] ("the Act" ), hereby makes the following Order:—
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Pilotage Act 1987 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1991.
        2.    The provisions of the Act not already in force[2] shall come into force on 30th April 1991.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order brings into force on 30th April 1991 the remaining provisions of the Pilotage Act 1987 — namely the repeal of provisions in the Pilotage Act 1983 (c. 21) which related to the continued existence of the Pilotage Commission pending its abolition (the date for which has now been appointed for April 30th 1991, the date also appointed by this Order).
    The Pilotage Act 1987 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1987 (S.I. 1987/1306), the Pilotage Act 1987 (Commencement No. 2) Order 1987 (S.I. 1987/2138)and the Pilotage Act 1987 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1988 (S.I. 1988/1137) brought into force all other provisions of the Act.
