The Merchant Shipping (Distress Signals and Prevention of Collisions) (Guernsey) (Amendment) Order 1991

Coming into force 19th April 1991

Present,

The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council

    Her Majesty, in pursuance of section 47(1) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1979 [1], is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Distress Signals and Prevention of Collisions) (Guernsey) (Amendment) Order 1991 and shall come into force on19th April 1991.
        2.    Article 3 of the Merchant Shipping (Distress Signals and Prevention of Collisions) (Guernsey) Order 1989[2] shall be amended by the insertion, after"Regulations 1989" , of"as amended by the Merchant Shipping (Distress Signals and Prevention of Collisions) (Amendment) Regulations 1991"[3] .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order amends the Merchant Shipping (Distress Signals and Prevention of Collisions) (Guernsey) Order 1989 by inserting a reference to the Merchant Shipping (Distress Signals and Prevention of Collisions) (Amendment) Regulations 1991 (which give effect to the amendment made by Resolution A678(16) of the International Maritime Organisation to rule 10(d) of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972).
