ROAD TRAFFIC

The Traffic Areas (Reorganisation) Order 1991

Made 12th February 1991
Laid before Parliament 12th February
Coming in force 1st June 1991

    The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 3(2) and (3) and 80(2) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981[1], and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Council on Tribunals in accordance with section 10(1) of the Tribunals and Inquiries Act 1971[2], hereby makes the following Order:-
        1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Traffic Areas (Reorganisation) Order 1991.

        (2)  The provisions of the Order shall come into force on 1st June 1991 or 2 months after the day on which this Order is approved by resolution of each House of Parliament (whichever is the later).
        2.—(1)  The Traffic Areas (Reorganisation) Order 1990[3] shall be amended as follows.

        (2)  In Schedule 1, in the entry relating to the North-Western Traffic Area, after the word "Clwyd" in column 2 there shall be inserted the word "Cumbria".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order amends the Traffic Area (Reorganisation) Order 1990 which, amongst other things, altered the limits of the North-Western Traffic Area.
    The amendment corrects an error by adding the County of Cumbria to the list of counties included in the North-Western Traffic Area.
