CONTAMINATION OF FOOD

The Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Lead in Cattle) (England) (No 2) (Revocation) Order 1991

Made 24th January 1991
Laid before Parliament 25th January 1991
Coming into force 25th January 1991

    The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 1(1) and (2) and section 24(1) of the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985[1], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
    Title and commencement
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Lead in Cattle) (England) (No 2) (Revocation) Order 1991 and shall come into force on 25th January 1991.
    Revocation
        2.    The Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Lead in Cattle) (England) (No 2) Order 1990[2] is hereby revoked.

24th January 1991.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order revokes the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Lead in Cattle) (England) (No 2) Order 1990 which contained emergency prohibitions in order to prevent human consumption of food which may have been rendered unsuitable for that purpose in consequence of cattle consuming lead or some other metal.
