HARBOURS, DOCKS, PIERS AND FERRIES

The Gloucester Harbour Revision Order (Amendment) Order 1990

Made 10th May 1990
Coming into force 11th May 1990

    Whereas the making of this Order is not opposed:
    Now therefore the Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 14 and 15 of the Harbours Act 1964[1] and now vested in him[2] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby makes the following Order:—
    Citation and commencement
        1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Gloucester Harbour Revision Order (Amendment) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 11th May 1990.

        (2)  The Gloucester Harbour Orders 1889 to 1988 and this Order may be cited together as the Gloucester Harbour Orders 1889 to 1990 and shall be construed and read together as one enactment except so far as may be inconsistent with or repugnant to the purposes thereof.
        2.    The Gloucester Harbour Revision Order 1988[3] shall be amended by inserting, in article 4(1), "1st July 1990 and then not later than" before "1st June".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order amends article 4(1) of the Gloucester Harbour Revision Order 1988 which deals with the appointment of Trustees. Under article 4(2) the terms of the initial set of appointments runs until 31st July 1990 and subsequent appointments for 3 year periods. The amendment to article 4(1) provides that those making the further appointments should do so by 1st July 1990, and by 1st June in every third year thereafter.
