LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ENGLAND AND WALES The Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) Order 1990
1. This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) Order 1990 and shall come into force on 1st April 1990.
2. Each of the following bodies which is a person appearing to the Secretaries of State to be exercising functions of a public nature shall be a public body for the purposes of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970 in its application to England and Wales: The City Literary Institute; Medway Housing Society Limited.
3.(1) Agreements which may be entered into by the Society by virtue of this Order shall only be for the provision by a local authority to the Society of administrative, professional or technical services in connection with the management or maintenance by the Society of houses situated on land transferred to the Society by a local authority under section 32 of the Housing Act 1985[3].
