(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the Hovercraft (General) Order 1972 to omit the details of the medical equipment which has to be carried by all hovercraft to which the Order applies, as some of the items are no longer appropriate; to provide more flexibility by enabling the Secretary of State to specify in operating permits the medical equipment to be carried; and to extend the definition of casualties involving hovercraft which have to be notified to include incidents in which a hovercraft causes any damage.
