ROADS AND BRIDGES, SCOTLAND The Erskine Bridge Tolls Order 1989
1. This Order may be cited as the Erskine Bridge Tolls Order 1989 and shall come into force on 1st August 1989.
2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings:
3. Subject to article 6 of this Order, every vehicle of Class I, Class II or Class IV using any part of the specified roads shall be a vehicle in respect of which a toll is to be levied under the Act.
4. The toll to be levied for each occasion on which any vehicle described in article 3 hereof uses any part of the specified roads shall be 40p.
5.(1) Any person may compound in advance for payment of tolls to be levied under the Act. (2) The Secretary of State shall issue books consisting of 50 prepaid vouchers in respect of such compounding for payment.
6. Any vehicle of any of the descriptions specified in the Schedule, which would otherwise be a vehicle in respect of which a toll is to be levied as set out in article 3 above, shall be exempted from the payment of toll.
7. The 1981 Order is hereby revoked.
