HOUSING, ENGLAND AND WALES

The Housing Act 1988 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1989

Made 15th February 1989

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 141(2) of the Housing Act 1988[1] , and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Housing Act 1988 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1989.
        2.    Sections 122 and 124, and, in so far as it relates to paragraph 41 of Schedule 17, section 140(1) of the Housing Act 1988 shall come into force on 10th March 1989.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order brings into force on 10th March 1989 section 122 (variation of cost floor for right to buy discount) and section 124 (right to buy: tenant's sanction for landlord's delays) of the Housing Act 1988, together with a minor amendment to the Housing Act 1985 (c. 68) related to section 124.
