EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order provides that the new trunk road which the Secretary of State is authorised to construct in the London Boroughs of Newham, Waltham Forest and Redbridge shall be 25 metres shorter than previously authorised. The shortening of the trunk road is a consequence of the redesign of the Lea interchange. This has resulted in a slight shift in the point at which the slip roads join the Link Road and hence a change in the point at which non-motorway traffic may join or leave the Link Road.
