SOCIAL SECURITY The Social Security (Employment Training: Payments) Order 1988
1.(1) This Order may be cited as the Social Security (Employment Training: Payments) Order 1988 and shall come into force on 4th September 1988. (2) In this Order, "Class 1 contributions" , "primary Class 1 contributions" , "secondary Class 1 contributions" and "Class 2 contributions" shall have the same meanings as in the Social Security Act 1975([1] ).
2. No primary or secondary Class 1 contributions shall be payable, and no person shall be liable to pay Class 1 or Class 2 contributions, in respect of payments to any person in receipt of a training premium under provision made under section 2 of the Employment and Training Act 1973([3] ;), being payments under provision made under that section in connection with his use of facilities provided in pursuance of arrangements, known by the name of Employment Training, under that section; and Part I (Contributions) of the Social Security Act 1975 shall be modified accordingly.
