RATING AND VALUATION

The Valuation Timetable (Scotland) Amendment Order 1988

Made 26th February 1988
Coming into force 21st March 1988

    The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 13(1) and 42(1) of the Valuation and Rating (Scotland) Act 1956fn num="f001">, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Valuation Timetable (Scotland) Amendment Order 1988 and shall come into force on 21st March 1988.
        2.    The entry in column 2 of the Schedule to the Valuation Timetable (Scotland) Order 1984[2] relating to the last date for the disposal by a valuation appeal committee of appeals and complaints mentioned in column 1 of that Schedule shall be amended by substituting for the words "31st March in the second year following the year in which the valuation roll comes into force" the words "31st December 1988".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
    This Order amends the entry in the Schedule to the Valuation Timetable (Scotland) Order 1984 which contains the timetable for the disposal by valuation appeal committees of appeals and complaints against entries in a valuation roll. That Order was amended by the Valuation Timetable (Scotland) Amendment Order 1987, which extended the period for disposal of such appeals and complaints by one year to 31st March 1988.
    This Order extends the period for the disposal of such appeals and complaints to 31st December 1988.
