The Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1987

Made 6th August 1987
Coming into force 27th August 1987

    The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales, acting jointly, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 1, 7(1)(a), (b) and (c) and (2) and 23(f) and (g) of the Animal Health Act 1981[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby order as follows:
    Title and commencement
        1.    This Order may be cited as the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 27th August 1987.
    Interpretation
        2.    In this Order the "principal Order" means the Diseases of Animals (Approved Disinfectants) Order 1978[2] .
    Amendment of principal Order
        3.—(1)  At the end of Schedule 1 to the principal Order (which lists disinfectants approved by the Minister) there shall be added the entries listed in Schedule 1 to this Order.

        (2)  The entries listed in Schedule 2 to this Order shall be deleted from Schedule 1 to the principal Order.

        (3)  After Schedule 1 to the principal Order there shall be inserted as Schedule 2 to that Order the provisions of Schedule 3 to this Order.

        (4)  In article 6(2) of the principal Order (which specifies the date until which disinfectants subject to transitional provisions remain approved) for the words "30th June 1987" there shall be substituted the words "31st December 1987" .
