EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order amends the National Health Service (Transferred Staff—Appeals and Modification) Order 1982 which, in relation to questions arising from the 1974 reorganisation of the health service, had provided for such questions to be determined by the appropriate Panel specified in two agreements, one for England and the other for Wales, made by the General Whitley Council for the Health Service. The two agreements have been replaced by a single agreement and the definition of the word "Panel" has been amended to reflect this change.
The agreement is set out in section 34 of the General Whitley Council Conditions of Service Handbook copies of which may be obtained from the DHSS (Leaflets) Unit, PO Box 21, Stanmore, Middlesex, HA71AY.
