WATER, ENGLAND AND WALES The Thames Water Authority (Amendment of Local Enactments) Order 1987
1.(1) This Order may be cited as the Thames Water Authority (Amendment of Local Enactments) Order 1987 and shall come into force on 14th August 1987. (2) The Thames Water Authority Orders 1974 to 1986 and this Order may be cited together as the Thames Water Authority Orders 1974 to 1987.
2.(1) Subsection (2) of section 3 of the River Wandle Protection Act 1908 (which conferred on the Croydon Corporation[5] the right to take water from Waddon Wells subject to a maximum of fifty thousand gallons in any period of 30 days) and the proviso to that section (which is now spent but which provided for a temporary increase in the maximum amount of water to be abstracted) are hereby repealed. (2) The Croydon Water Order 1968[6] (which amended section 3 by the addition of the proviso); the Croydon Water Order 1973[7] (which substituted a new proviso); the Thames Water Authority (Waddon Wells) Order 1976[8] (which amended that proviso) and the Thames Water Authority (Waddon Wells) Order 1981[9] (which further amended that proviso) are hereby revoked.
