HIGHWAYS, ENGLAND AND WALES

The North East of Birmingham—Nottingham Trunk Road The Birmingham—Nottingham Route (Appleby Magna to Kegworth Section and Slip Roads) (Variation) Order 1987

Made 19th March 1987
Coming into force 10th April 1987

    The Secretary of State for Transport makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 41 of the Highways Act 1980[1], and now vested in him[2], and of all other enabling powers:
        1.    The North East of Birmingham—Nottingham Trunk Road—The Birmingham—Nottingham Route (Appleby Magna to Kegworth Section and Slip Roads) No. 1 Order 1982[3] is hereby varied as follows:—
       (a) for article 2 there is substituted the following article:—
              "2.    The centre line of the main new trunk road and the centre line of each of the slip roads described in paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to this Order is shown by a heavy black line on the deposited plan. The centre line of each of the slip roads described in paragraph 2 of that Schedule is shown by a heavy black line on the second deposited plan." ;
       (b) in article 4, after the definition of "the deposited plan", there is inserted the following new definition:—
        "the second deposited plan" means the plan numbered HA10/EM18 marked "The North East of Birmingham—Nottingham Trunk Road The Birmingham—Nottingham Route (Appleby Magna to Kegworth Section and Slip Roads) (Variation) Order 1987", signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY;
       (c) in Schedule 2
         (i) for paragraph 2 there is substituted the following paragraph:—
                "2.    Four routes numbered 3, 4, 5 and 6 on the deposited plan to connect the north-east bound and south-west bound carriageways of the main new trunk road with the A453 trunk road south of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, as proposed to be improved" ; and
         (ii) paragraph 3 is deleted.
        2.    This Order shall come into force on 10th April 1987 and may be cited as the North East of Birmingham—Nottingham Trunk Road The Birmingham—Nottingham Route (Appleby Magna to Kegworth Section and Slip Roads) (Variation) Order 1987.
