SOCIAL SECURITY The Supplementary Benefit Uprating Regulations 1987
1.(1) These regulations may be cited as the Supplementary Benefit Uprating Regulations 1987 and shall come into force on 6th April 1987. (2) In these regulations "Requirements Regulations" means the Supplementary Benefit (Requirements) Regulations 1983 [6].
2.(1) The Requirements Regulations shall be amended in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation. (2) In regulation 5 (normal requirements of relevant persons)
(3) In regulation 9(12) (personal expenses of boarders) for "£9.05" there shall be substituted "£9.25" and
(4) In regulation 16(1) (maintenance and insurance), for "£1.85" there shall be substituted "£1.95". (5) In regulation 22(3) (reduction in amounts where the home is occupied by a non-dependant)
(6) In regulation 23(1) (non-householder's contribution) for "£3.90" there shall be substituted "£4.05". (7) In Schedule 1 (normal requirements), for the amount specified in column (2) of that Schedule in relation to each provision specified in column (1) thereof, such amount being set out in column 2 of the First Schedule to these regulations, there shall be substituted the amount set out in relation to that provision in column 3 of that First Schedule. (8) In Schedule 4 in paragraphs 14 and 17 (diet and hospital fares) for the amount specified in column (2) of that Schedule in relation to each provision specified in column (1) thereof, such amount being out in column 2 of the Second Schedule to these regulations, there shall be substituted the amount set out in relation to that provision in column 3 of that Second Schedule.
