COURT OF SESSION, SCOTLAND

Act of Sederunt (Sessions of Court and Sederunt Days) 1987

Made 20th January 1987
Coming into force 1st January 1988

    The Lords of Council and Session, under and by virtue of the powers conferred on them by section 2 of the Administration of Justice (Scotland) Act 1948[1] and by section 4(2) of the Administration of Justice (Scotland) Act 1933[2] , and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, do hereby enact and declare:
    Citation and commencement
        1.    This Act of Sederunt may be cited as the Act of Sederunt (Sessions of Court and Sederunt Days) 1987 and shall come into force on 1st January 1988.
    Sessions of court 1988
        2.    The ordinary sessions of the Court of Session during 1988 shall extend—
       (a) from Tuesday 5th January to Saturday 26th March;
       (b) from Tuesday 26th April to Saturday 16th July;
       (c) from Tuesday 27th September to Wednesday 21st December.
    Sederunt days
        3.    The ordinary sessions of the Court of Session shall extend to and include each Thursday of each vacation (Easter and Summer).


And the Lords appoint this Act of Sederunt to be inserted in the Books of Sederunt.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Act of Sederunt)
    This Act of Sederunt makes provision for the ordinary business of the Court of Session to be done between the dates specified in paragraph 2 and on each Thursday of each vacation (Easter and Summer).
