1.—(1) The title of this Order is the Trinity College, Carmarthen (Designated Institutions in Higher Education) (Wales) Order 2007 and it comes into force on 1 September 2007.
(2) This Order applies to Wales.
2. Trinity College, Carmarthen, being an educational institution of the kind described in sub-section (2) of section 129 of the Education Reform Act 1988, is designated as an institution for the purpose of that section.

Trinity College, Carmarthen is designated by this Order for the purposes of section 129 of the Education Reform Act 1988. This means that it is eligible to receive support from funds administered by a higher education funding council and is to be treated as an institution within the higher education sector for the purposes of the Education Acts.
By virtue of the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999, (SI 1999/672) and paragraph 30(1) and (2)(a) of Schedule 11 to the Government of Wales Act 2006. Back [2]
