The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 79 and 126(4) of the National Health Service Act 1977[1]. Title, commencement and application 1. —(1) The title of these Regulations is the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and they come into force on 15 December 2006. (2) These Regulations apply in relation to Wales[2]. Amendment to the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006 2. In Schedule 3 to the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006[3] (Band 3 Charges — Provision of Appliances) paragraph (i) is omitted. Elis-Thomas The Presiding Officer of the National Assembly 13 December 2006 (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations correct an error in the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Wales) Regulations 2006 (S.I. 2006/491 (W.60)) ("the 2006 Regulations"). Regulation 2 removes the reference to "crowns in other materials" in the list of appliances for which a Band 3 charge may be made and recovered in Schedule 3 to the 2006 Regulations. A full Regulatory Appraisal of the effect has been prepared in respect of the 2006 Regulations.
