The National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 23 of the Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Act 2006[1] hereby makes the following Order: Name, interpretation and application 1. —(1) This Order is called the Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Act 2006 (Commencement) Order 2006. (2) In this Order "the Act" ("y Ddeddf") means the Commissioner for Older People (Wales) Act 2006. (3) This Order applies in relation to Wales. Appointed Day 2. 14 October 2006 is the appointed day for the coming into force of sections 1 to 22 of the Act.
