The National Assembly for Wales, in exercise of the power conferred upon it by section 93(2)(b) of the Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003[1], hereby makes the following Order: Title 1. The title of this Order is the Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003 (Commencement No. 5) (Wales) Order 2006. Commencement 2. So far as relating to Wales, sections 19 to 22 and 24 of the Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003 shall come into force on 11 May 2006. Elis-Thomas The Presiding Officer of the National Assembly 10 May 2006 (This note is not part of the Order) This Order brings into force in Wales on 11 May 2006 sections 19 to 22 and 24 of the Anti-social Behaviour Act 2003 ("the 2003 Act"), which concern parenting contracts and parenting orders for school pupils. Section 19 provides for school governing bodies and local education authorities to enter into parenting contracts with a parent of a pupil or child. Section 20 provides for the circumstances in which a local education authority may apply to a magistrates' court for a parenting order, the circumstances in which the court may make an order and the content and effect of an order. Section 21 makes supplemental provision. Section 22 provides for a right of appeal against the making of a parenting order to the Crown Court. Section 24 is an interpretation provision. (This note is not part of the Order) The provisions of the Act which are referred to in the table below have been brought into force in relation to both Wales and England by a Commencement Order made before the date of this Order.
