In exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by section 21(1) of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992[1] and now vested in the National Assembly for Wales [2], the National Assembly for Wales hereby makes the following Regulations: Title and Commencement 1. The title of these Regulations is the Government of Further Education Corporations (Revocation) (Wales) Regulations 2006 and they come into force on 6 April 2006. Revocation 2. —(1) The Regulations specified in Part 1 of the Schedule to these Regulations (which relate to further education corporations in Wales) are hereby revoked. (2) The Regulations specified in Part 2 of the Schedule to these Regulations are hereby revoked in relation to Wales. Elis-Thomas The Presiding Officer of the National Assembly 7 March 2006 The Coleg Menai (Government) Regulations 1994 (S.I. 1994/1450) The Education (Government of Further Education Corporations) (Former Sixth Form Colleges) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/1957) The Education (Government of Further Education Corporations) (Former Further Education Colleges) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/1963) (This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations revoke the Regulations listed in Parts 1 and 2 of the Schedule, which prescribe initial instruments and articles of government for further education corporations. All the initial instruments and articles of government for further education corporations in Wales have been replaced by an order under section 22 of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 (as amended by paragraph 23 of Schedule 9 to the Learning and Skills Act 2000 (c.21)). Consequently the Regulations listed in the Schedule have ceased to have effect. The Regulations listed in Part 2 of the Schedule were revoked in relation to England by S.I. 2002/1094 and now cease to have effect in relation to Wales. Notes: [1] 1992 c.13.
