The National Assembly for Wales makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[1] and of all other enabling powers [2]: 1. The new footpath/cycleway which the National Assembly for Wales proposes to construct along the route described in the schedule to this Order is to become a trunk road as from the date when this Order comes into force. 2. The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan. 3. In this Order:— (1) all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway; (2)
(ii) "the trunk road" ("y gefnffordd") means the London — Fishguard Trunk Road (A40); (iii) "the new trunk road"("y gefnffordd newydd") means the highway referred to in Article 1 of this Order.

This Order comes into force on 18 November 2005 and may be cited as the London — Fishguard Trunk Road (A40) (Combined Footpath/Cycleway, Windyhall, Fishguard) Order 2005. The route of the new trunk road is a route at Windyhall, Fishguard in the County of Pembrokeshire and is a combined new footpath/cycleway 325 metres in length commencing at a point about 135 metres west of the north-west corner of Windyhall House and terminating at a point about 66 metres north-north-west of the north-east corner of Windyhall Cottage.
