The National Assembly for Wales, being designated[1] for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[2] in relation to the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Community, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by that section, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, makes the following Regulations: Title, application and commencement 1. - (1) These Regulations are called the Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) (Amendment) (Wales) (No. 2) Regulations 2002. (2) These Regulations apply to Wales and come into force at 12 noon on 10th April 2002. Amendment of the Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) Regulations 2000 2. - (1) The Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) Regulations 2000[3] shall be amended in relation to Wales in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation. (2) In Schedule 3, Part I -
(b) in paragraph 16 for the words "and 2002/153/EC (OJ No. L50, 21.2.2002, p.98)." there is substituted the words -
(This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations, which come into force at mid-day on 10th April 2002, amend the Animals and Animal Products (Import and Export) (England and Wales) Regulations 2000 (S.I. 2000/1673, as amended) in relation to Wales to make provision to give effect to - Article 1 of Commission Decision 2002/242/EC (OJ No. L82, 26.3.2002, p.18) amending for the ninth time Decision 2001/327/EC (OJ No. L115, 25.4.2001, p.12) concerning restrictions to the movement of animals of susceptible species with regard to foot-and-mouth disease. A Regulatory Appraisal has not been prepared for these Regulations.
