HOUSING, WALES

The Disabled Facilities Grants and Home Repair Assistance (Maximum Amounts) (Amendment) (Wales) Order 2002

  Made 26th March 2002 
  Coming into force 10th April 2002 

The National Assembly for Wales in exercise of the powers conferred on it by sections 33 and 146 of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996[1] makes the following Order:

Name, commencement and application
     1.  - (1) The name of this Order is the Disabled Facilities Grants and Home Repair Assistance (Maximum Amounts) (Amendment) (Wales) Order 2002 and it comes into force on 10th April 2002.

    (2) This Order applies to Wales only.

Amendment of Order
    
2. In paragraph (b) of article 2 of the Disabled Facilities Grants and Home Repair Assistance (Maximum Amounts) Order 1996[2] for "£24,000" substitute "£30,000".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)


This Order amends article 2 of the Disabled Facilities Grants and Home Repair Assistance (Maximum Amounts) Order 1996, which prescribes the maximum amount of mandatory disabled facilities grant that a local housing authority can be required to pay under Chapter I of Part I of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.

This Order increases the maximum amount from £24,000 to £30,000 for dwellings or buildings in Wales.
