The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on it by sections 63(1), 66(2) and 67(1) and (2) of the Health Act 1999[1]: Citation, interpretation and application 1. - (1) This Order may be cited as the Health Act 1999 (Commencement No. 3) (Wales) Order 2000. (2) In this Order -
(3) This Order applies to Wales. Provisions of the Act coming into force on 1 December 2000. Section 26 (Co-operation between National Health Service bodies)(except in so far as it relates to Primary Care Trusts) Section 27 (Co-operation between National Health Service bodies and local authorities)(except in so far as subsection (1A) of section 22 of the 1977 Act relates to Primary Care Trusts) Section 29(2)(a) and (3) and section 29(1) in so far as it relates to it (Payments by National Health Service bodies to local authorities) (except in so far as subsection (2B) of section 28A of the 1977 Act relates to Primary Care Trusts) Section 30 (Payments by local authorities to National Health Service bodies)(except in so far as subsection (2) of section 28BB of the 1977 Act relates to Primary Care Trusts) Section 31 (Arrangements between National Health Service bodies and local authorities)(except in so far as it relates to Primary Care Trusts) Section 65(1) (Amendments of enactments) (in so far as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 4 to the Act specified below) Schedule 4 - Sub-paragraphs (2) and (4)(b) of paragraph 14, and paragraphs 4 and 14(1) (in so far as they relate to them) Sub-paragraphs (3) and (4)(a) and (e) of paragraph 14 (in so far as they relate to payments made under section 28A(2A) of the 1977 Act), and paragraphs 4 and 14(1) (in so far as they relate to them) Section 32 (Joint Consultative Committees) Section 65(1) (Amendments of enactments)(in so far as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 4 to the Act specified below) Schedule 4 - Paragraph 14 (in so far as it is not already in force), and paragraph 4 (in so far as it relates to that paragraph) Paragraph 72 (This note does not form part of the Order) This Order brings into force further provisions of the Health Act 1999 in relation to Wales. The Order provides for the commencement of provisions which provide for partnership between NHS bodies and Local Authorities, including payments between NHS bodies and Local Authorities and arrangements between them. There is also provision for the commencement of repeals relating to Joint Consultative Committees and of the Health Service Joint Consultative Committees (Access to Information) Act 1986. (This note does not form part of the Order) The following provisions of the Health Act 1999 have been brought into force in relation to Wales by commencement order made before the date of this Order (including provisions brought into force in relation to England and Wales). In addition to the provisions listed below, various other provisions of the Act have been brought into force in relation to England by commencement orders S.I. 1999/2177, 2342, 2540 and 2793 and 2000/779 and 1041 and in relation to Scotland by commencement order S.S.I. 1999/90 and 115 and 2000/38 .
