NATURE CONSERVATION

The Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2008

The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 53(2) and 59(2) of the Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004(1).

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004 (Commencement No. 3) Order 2008.

Commencement

2.  Section 22 of the Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004 (SSSI register) comes into force as follows:–

(a) section 22(3), on 2nd June 2008; and

(b) section 22(1) and (2), on 30th June 2008.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings section 22 (SSSI register) of the Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004 (“the Act”) into force on 2nd June 2008 (section 22(3)) and 30th June 2008 (section 22(1) and (2)). Section 22 is the last provision of the Act to be brought into force.
