This Scottish Statutory Instrument has been made in consequence of a defect in S.S.I. 2003/428, and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of that instrument.
The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[1] and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations: Citation and commencement 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Air Quality Limit Values (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2003 and shall come into force on 5th December 2003. Amendment of the Air Quality Limit Values (Scotland) Regulations 2003 2. - (1) The Air Quality Limit Values (Scotland) Regulations 2003[2] are amended in accordance with the following paragraphs of this regulation. (2) In the table entitled "Target Values for Ozone" in Part II of Schedule 2, for "human health" in the second entry in the first column substitute "vegetation". (3) In the table entitled "Diffuse sources" in paragraph 1.1 of Part I of Schedule 5, between "of" and "zone" in the heading of the first column insert "agglomeration or". Regulation 2(2) is made in order to transpose accurately Part II of Annex I of Directive 2002/3/EC of the European Parliament and Council relating to ozone in ambient air (O.J. No. L 67, 9.3.2002, p.14). Regulation 2(3) is made in order to reflect accurately Part I of Schedule 4 of the Air Quality Limit Values (Scotland) Regulations 2001 (S.I. 2001/2315) (as amended) which were consolidated in the Air Quality Limit Values (Scotland) Regulations 2003.
