The Scottish Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972[1], and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following Regulations: Citation and commencement 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Sheep and Goats Identification (Scotland) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 1st January 2003. Amendments to the Sheep and Goats Identification (Scotland) Regulations 2000 2. - (1) The Sheep and Goats Identification (Scotland) Regulations 2000[2] are amended in accordance with the following provisions of this regulation. (2) In regulation 6(2A)(c) (records concerning goats)[3]-
(b) for "4(f)" substitute "4(r)".
(3) In regulation 13(1C) (documentation required for the movement of sheep and goats to a destination within Great Britain)[4]-
(b) for paragraph (c) substitute-
(d) which is a goat of either sex moved for breeding purposes for the purposes of article 4(r)[6] of the Disease Control (Interim Measures) (Scotland) Order 2002.".
(This note is not part of the Regulations) These Regulations make consequential amendments to the Sheep and Goats Identification (Scotland) Regulations 2000 ("the principal Regulations") necessitated by the Disease Control (Interim Measures) (Scotland) Amendment (No. 2) Order 2002. That Order amends the 20 day standstill on the movement of animals which is contained in articles 3 to 5 of the Disease Control (Interim Measures) (Scotland) Order 2002, relative to breeding goats. The Regulations make consequential amendments to regulations 6 and 13 of the principal Regulations which make provision for the identification of goats moved from and to holdings within Great Britain.
