OPSI and the e-Government agenda
At OPSI, our challenge is to enable our customers to find and re-use information without an in-depth understanding of government structure and the machinery of government. By improving access to information, and ensuring that all our services are ’e-enabled’, we open up government providing a rich source of valuable information to inform citizens and businesses.

The e-Services team is at the heart of these challenges, ensuring that our e-strategy is a core component of OPSI’s overall business objectives.
The e-Services philosophy
- To make government information easy to find, easy to use and easy to share;
- To promote a positive, knowledge-enhancing experience for our customers at OPSI’s website;
- To maximise the public value of our e-services by closely monitoring customer trends and needs;
- To use technology creatively to extend and tailor our range of e-services to the requirements of our customers;
- To work collaboratively with other government departments to ensure a joined-up, best practice approach to e-service delivery
- To provide access to government knowledge without knowledge of government.
