An Act to increase the limit in section 2(1) of the Education (Grants and Awards) Act 1984 on expenditure approved for education support grant purposes, and to exclude remuneration for midday supervision from the remuneration of Teachers Act.

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

In section 2(1) of the M1Education (Grants and Awards) Act 1984 which provides that the aggregate amount of the expenditure of local education authorities in England and Wales approved for any financial year for education support grant purposes shall not exceed 0·5 per cent. of the amount determined for that year in accordance with section 2 of that Act), for “0·5 per cent.” there shall be substituted “1 per cent.”.]
