An Act to amend the Matrimonial Homes Act 1967, and to make further provision as to the rights of husbands and wives to possession or occupation of any matrimonial home or former matrimonial home, and as to orders for the sale of property under the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973.

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

(1)At the end of section 64 of the M1Land Registration Act 1925 there shall be inserted the following subsection—
“(5)Subsection (1) above shall not require the production of the land certificate when a person applies for the registration of a notice by virtue of section 2(7) of the Matrimonial Homes Act 1967 (spouse’s charge in respect of rights of occupation).”
