An Act to amend subsection (3) of section 20 of the Gaming Act 1968 to enable the Secretary of State, by order, to amend the limit of £1,000 therein.
[20th March 1980]
(1)Subsection (3) of section 20 of the Gaming Act 1968 M1 (which specifies the maximum permitted aggregate amount of the winnings in respect of games of bingo played in one week simultaneously on different bingo premises) shall be amended in accordance with subsection (2) below.
(2)At the end of subsection (3) there shall be added the following proviso:—
Provided that the Secretary of State may by order provide that this subsection shall have effect with the substitution, for the reference to £1,000, of a reference to such other sum as may be specified in the order.
