An Act to increase the number of Marshall scholarships which may be provided in each year.
[17th December 1959]
(1)Section one of the M1Marshall Aid Commemoration Act 1953, shall have effect with the substitution for the reference to twelve scholarships of a reference to twenty-four or such greater number as Her Majesty may by Order in Council from time to time determine.
(2)Any Order in Council under this section shall be subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament.
This Act may be cited as the Marshall Scholarships Act 1959, and this Act and the Marshall Aid Commemoration Act 1953, may be cited together as the Marshall Aid Commemoration Acts 1953 and 1959.
