An Act to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of sums required by the Minister of Food to fulfil contracts or arrangements entered into by him, whether before or after the passing of this Act, including contracts or arrangements involving commitments extending beyond the financial year current when the contracts or arrangements were made.

Any sums required by the [F1Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food] to fulfil any contracts or arrangements entered into by him, whether before or after the passing of this Act, in or in connection with the exercise of his functions as to food and animal feeding stuffs, including contracts or arrangements involving commitments extending beyond the financial year current when the contracts or arrangements were made, shall be paid out of moneys provided by Parliament.

This Act may be cited as the Minister of Food (Financial Powers) Act 1949.
